The Dorchester Historical Society (DHS), upon whom the Dottie Hottie has recently relied for some homework assignments, is hosting a wine-tasting festival.
Time out: Did YOU know that Dot had its own winery? Because the Dottie Hottie, though not a drinker, was pleasantly surprised. Shocked even!
The Winery is considered one of the best kept secrets in the city BOY, YOU’RE TELLING ME. The Winery lives in what was the the S.S. Putnam Company, manufacturer of horse-shoe nails, and later by the Lawley shipyard.
Here’s straight from the press release: The DHS have received a challenge from an anonymous donor who will match donations for this event in the ratio of $1 match to every $2 that the DHS raises (up to $5,000). This means that if we raise $10,000, we will receive the full $5,000 match, making a total of $15,000.
Boston Winery (located at 26 Ericsson Street on Port Norfolk).
