The biggest and best neighborhood in Boston for sure. Yes, there’s crime problems but we also have a much higher population than the rest of Boston and when looked at relatively the crime rate isn’t so bad. There’s pros and cons to each part of Boston and for most of us the cheaper rent and diversity of the neighborhood and proximity to downtown outweigh the negatives of Dot. I’m proud I was born and raised in Dot.

It is usually our custom to go and park along the perimeter of the parking lanes –even though the signage would indicate this is a No Parking Zone. Great shop! Three years ago, I stopped to pick up a bouquet when I first moved to Dorchester to brighten up the house. Three weeks ago, I got to go down to the basement cooler to pick out some tulips for the dining room table. My bride-to-be is getting her bouquet from Coleen. I’ll be getting a boutonniere.
